But whether youre true to the sagas roots or are a sucker for graphics and gameplay (I, personally, part with the latter), Ive concocted a personal list for the most defining frontline the series has to offer: the blasters. The other method of avoiding being Force Pushed? Keep a distance from the enemy Force user. Ever since DICEs 2015 controversial reboot of beloved spinoff game series, Star Wars Battlefront, a division of fans between the old and new has emerged. Standing without blocking means being completely vulnerable to Force Push-type powers. Throwing oneself at an enemy Jedi and spamming lightsaber attacks leads to stamina exhaustion and death. Jedi need to block during lightsaber duels. How to counter Force Push: new players, especially those who played the older Battlefront 2, tend to struggle with one of the major changes in the reboot.

Force Push abilities, which many Heroes have, are effective against both Troopers (to stop them laying down blaster fire) and Heroes (to render them defenseless to lightsaber strikes). Really good on Turning Point when defending. It's certainly appropriate that the Force itself makes this list, given it's supposed to be the most powerful thing in the Star Wars universe. Plus with the scattergun, you can also sit inside and shoot outwards with it. Throw one of those down, sit inside and blast anyone who tries to walk in on you. Powerups: The best powerup to complement the CA-87 and scattergun is by far the Squad Shield. Sit in a corner on a point with it, watch as the Rebel scum come charging up at you and blast them all in the face. If you don't want to play a smaller game mode, it's also really good on Turning Point, especially on Empire. Game Modes: Any of the smaller game modes (Cargo, Droid Run, Drop Zone, etc.) are all fantastic for the CA-87 and the scatter gun. I've been using Adrenaline Stim a bit recently too and while I still prefer Scan Pulse/Focus Fire, Adrenaline Stim is actually quite good if you're in a fight with cover against someone with more range than you. Scan Pulse is fantastic for giving yourself awareness and Focus Fire adds a lot of range to the weapon at the cost of reduced spread. If you can learn to jetpack and blast someone mid-air it's extremely fulfilling.Ĭharge Card: I change it up between Scan Pulse and Focus Fire. Star Cards: Scattergun and Jetpack - Scattergun counts towards shock blaster kills and is great for people who run around with personal shield, and I use jetpack just for mobility.

Scout is a good alternative if you want to be sneaky.

Trait: Bodyguard - The extra survivability of this is fantastic for me as I can ignore some explosions and when I hit rank 3 I can start shrugging off some blaster damage too. I can frequently get ~20 kills per game with it. The CA-87 is my most-used gun and I would say I'm alright at it.
